New Delhi: CNN-IBN has added yet another feather in its cap. The channel won four of the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism awards on Monday.
While Nilanjana Bose won the award in the ‘Uncovering India Invisible’ category, Bahar Dutt won the ‘Excellence in Environmental Reporting’ award.
CNN-IBN’s Special Investigation Team won the excellence in political reporting award.
The channel's editor-in-chief Rajdeep Sardesai has been adjudged the Journalist of the Year.
CNN-IBN's sister concern, CNBC-TV18 also bagged an award. Hiral Sachde and Khushboo Narayan from CNBC-TV18 won an award for an expose on fake pan cards.
However, this is not the first in the series on awards for the English news channel. In March this year, Nilanjana Bose had won the Silver Jubilee Chameli Devi Jain Award for Outstanding Woman Mediaperson. And in February five CNN-IBN shows had won honours at the Indian Telly Awards held in Mumbai.
Also Rajdeep Sardesai was named Impact magazine's person of the year for 2006.
