Israeli police officers attack two photographers at funeral of Palestinian youth

The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) has condemned an attack by Israeli police on photographers near Silwad in the West Bank on Sunday, October 26. According to reports, Israeli police fired rubber bullets at the photographers at close range while they were taking pictures of protests that followed the funeral of a Palestinian activist. IPI laments death of two journalists in the Gaza strip

The International Press Institute (IPI) is saddened to learn that media worker Ali Abu Afash was killed in Gaza on Wednesday, according to reports. Afash, who worked for the Gaza Centre for Media Freedom as a translator and journalist, had accompanied an IPI delegation during its visit to Gaza in 2013. Another journalist killed in Gaza bombardment

A second journalist was killed while covering the Israeli bombardment of the Shijaiyah neighbourhood of Gaza, according to news reports and the two journalists' media outlets.
