Ugandans buy daily newspapers reporting the death of former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin Dada from a street vendor, 17 August 2003 in Kmpala. Amin died 16 August 2003 in an Hospital in Jedda, Saudi Arabia, and was buried there according Muslim traditions. Mixed reactions in Uganda greeted the death of Idi Amin, with his successor saying he would not shed any tears, while ordinary Ugandans hailed him as the 'father of African business.'
