Eric Fottorino (2nd R), chief executive of the daily Le Monde, one of France's most respected newspapers, and Managing Editor Sylvie Kauffmann (R) work on the day's last edition in the Le Monde office in Paris June 25, 2010. The 65-year-old newspaper is looking for 100 million euros ($124 million) in capital to stem losses and repay mounting debts. Two rival groups put in firm bids for it, pitting a band of wealthy tycoons against a partnership including France Telecom and Spanish media company Prisa. The newspaper's supervisory board will designate the winner on Monday June 28. Associated Press / Daylife
