ISLAMABAD: Journalists have announced to stage a protest demonstration today (Tuesday) as Senate Secretariat denied to issue cards to journalists for coverage of the Upper House session following a successful negotiations between member of National Assembly and the journalists after pandemonium of last week.
Imposing ban on permanent cards of journalists, Senate Chairman Mohammedmian Soomro directed the authorities to issue cards on basis of case to case after recess with the help of Pakistan Information Department (PID) list.
However, journalists were informed to take their cards for one day converge of Senate from the reception of main gate of the house which further infuriated them and they decided to stage a protest demonstration in front of Parliament today (Tuesday).
