Representative of the Azeri organization "Peace, Democracy and Culture", head of the political department of the Baku newspaper "Commentator" Roman Temnikov has been in Stepanakert since yesterday. {BR}
The guest who visits Karabakh for the first time informed the correspondent of "karabakh-online" that he has very good impressions from Karabakh. "You have even managed to rehabilitate the city after the war. I thought I would be accepted otherwise here, but as you see I’m safe and sound", the Azeri journalists said. The latter was going to meet the NKR Minister of Education, Culture and Sport, the President of the NKR Parliament and youth organizations. Roman Temnikov also wanted to visit Gandzasar, the Askeran castle and Shushi.
By the way, while being in Karabakh, Roman Temnikov did not even know that his newspaper has convened a meeting during which the editor-in-chief of the newspaper and his two advisors decided unanimously to fire the journalist visiting Karabakh from work. The authorities of the newspaper explained their decision saying that Temnikov’s act contradicts the ethics of the Azeri journalists forbidding him to cooperate with representatives of a self-declared republic.
"This is the tolerance of the negotiating side. This is their journalistic ethics. And this is done in case of the newspaper "Commentator" cooperating with the British organization "Institute of Peace and War Highlighting" and is considered one of the most tolerant newspapers in Azerbaijan", the "karabakh-online" writes.
