Newspaper's office attacked in Aurangabad

A group of about 30 supporters of a Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) corporator ransacked the office of an eveninger here this evening.

The assailants entered the office of 'Saanjvarta', situated in Nirala Bazar locality at around 2000 hrs, and ransacked the office by partially damaging the office furniture, fans, tables and window panes, the sources at the newspaper's office told UNI.

Angered by a report, published today in the newspaper's edition, the supporters of the corporator forcibly entered the office and ransacked it within few minutes.

Meanwhile, sources in the Kranti Chowk Police station said that they had detained one of the assilants and may be able to detain others soon.

Assistant Commisioner of Police (ACP) Sudhir Dabhade visited the newspaper's office immediately after the incident.
