NEW DELHI, August 24: The European Journalism Centre (EJC) will be organising a special information visit to India for journalists from the EU 25 Member States.
According to EJC, Europe’s view of India has changed considerably over the last years from a focus on the exotic to the recognition of India as a serious global player and economic powerhouse. The EU remains India’s most important trading partner but what are the main issues in EU-India relations? How does India see the EU? What co-operation agreements exist and how do they work?
The seminar will provide journalists with the opportunity to get a real sense of EU-India relations, to talk to Indian officials, meet with fellow Indian journalists, discuss with the European Union delegation and visit some cooperation projects on-site.
The deadline to submit candidatures is August 29th, 2005.
General criteria:
- Participants should be professional working journalists with proven experience in journalism;
- Participants should have the support of their editor (or interest of potential clients if freelances);
- Participants should have knowledge of the subject/theme covered in the seminar;
- Participants should have language capacity (English) to follow the seminar discussions.
