Ketan N. Gandhi has been named president and publisher of the Home News Tribune. Gandhi, 42, had been vice president of finance for the Asbury Park Press and the Home News Tribune since 1997, when Gannett acquired the two newspapers. He simultaneously served as controller of Gannett's Atlantic Coast Newspaper Group.
Previously, Gandhi had worked as an accounting manager at the Valley News Dispatch in Tarentum, Pa., as well as at newspapers in Elmira and Binghamton, N.Y., and Warrendale, Pa. Gandhi, a native of India, was educated at Bombay University and got his master's in business administration at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
His appointment was announced Thursday. He succeeds John Ziomek, who retired after 33 years with Gannett. Gandhi and his wife and two children live in Howell.
