Thomson conducts TV documentary course in India

The Thomson Foundation is working with Indian and European television producers to produce a series of documentaries related to conflict resolution.

Ian Masters, Thomson broadcasting controller, and consultant Arwel Ellis Owen both traveled to India in October to conduct a course on making TV documentaries. They plan to return to India in November for a second session.

Thomson reports that the program is part of an ongoing EU-India project, which included a similar program last year on radio documentaries. The project focuses on broadcast coverage of conflict resolution, comparing and contrasting the perspectives of India and some EU countries.

Participants in this program are producing eight TV documentaries, four during the October session and four from the upcoming November visit. For more information, contact enquiries@thomfound.co.uk or visit http://www.thomsonfoundation.co.uk/home.htm.
